Maps & Geospatial Data

Montreal Bicycle Paths

Montreal Transit Paths is a GIS dataset in shapefile format that maps all of the bicycle paths and routes on the Island of Montreal from 2008. The file contains information on type of bicycle path (i.e., designated bike lane, shared road with automobiles etc.) and the bicycle network (Route Verte, Transcanada Trail etc.). To improve ease of use, this file was reformatted from data originally from the Geomatics Division of the City of Montreal.

For more current data, check out the City of Montreal's open data portal. You can find data related to: bike paths (piste cyclable), bike counts (vélos - comptage sue les pistes cyclables), and BIXI stations (BIXI - états des stations), just to name a few.
