Data Lab

The Data Lab is located on the second floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library (McLennan building, Room M2-37A). The Lab is open and available to users working with data who require the use of specialized data software. There are fourteen workstations available. A list of the various software programs installed on the workstations is posted below.

Data librarians are available by appointment to help researchers discover, access and use numeric, spatial, text and other data formats. To schedule a consultation, please use the following address: data.library@mcgill.ca.

For assistance choosing statistical techniques, performing statistical analyses, and interpreting the results of analysis, please contact the McGill Statistical Consulting Service.

At the MacDonald Campus Library, both SAS and ArcGIS are available on all computers in the eZone, and Stat/Transfer is available on computers: MACD22, MACD25, MACD47, MACD48, MACD49.
