Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences

Welcome to McGill Critically Appraised Topics in Dentistry (Dental CATs)

Every year, McGill Faculty of Dentistry and the McGill Library collaborate to teach the principles of Evidence-Based Dentistry.  As part of this, faculty, students and the Library search the literature related to a particular problem in dentistry and oral health, critically appraise it, extract the main salient points, and provide a critical summary and clinical bottom line.  Starting with 2019, these Critically Appraised Topics, or CATs, are then published here.
