Getting Started with SPSS

Split File offers a convenient way to split the dataset into separate groups for analysis.

1. From the menu, choose Data > Split File. The “Split File” dialog box will appear.

2. Select Compare groups or Organize output by groups.

• Compare groups: The results will be presented together for comparison purpose.
• Organize output by groups: The results will be displayed separately for each split-file group.

3. Select one or more grouping variables.
4. Click OK.

1. From the menu, choose Data > Split File. The “Split File” dialog box will appear.
2. Select Analyze all cases, do not create groups.
3. Click OK.
