Chemistry

Library resources to support your learning and research in chemistry.

Welcome to the chemistry guide

Orientation for the 2024/2025 academic year:

This guide is a good place to start if you are new to using library services, or if you have a project or paper to complete. I am available for help if you would like to make an appointment. If you are here exploring resources in chemistry, be sure to check out the learn online section to find free courses that may be of interest. There is also information on using the ACS style and downloading ChemOffice and EndNote below.

If you can't find the full text of an article, you can use our Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL). ILL can also be used if a book that you want is not in the McGill Library collection, or the collection of another Quebec university library. The ILL system is integrated into the Library catalogue/Sofia Discovery tool. You can also email me (April) to suggest a purchase. We may be able to obtain a copy for the Library.
