Laptops

All laptops available from the Music Library are loaned only to Music students, Music faculty, and Music staff.

iPads

iPads

  • Five (5) iPad Pros are available to Music students, faculty and staff:

    • 12.9-inch 256GB 4th generation iPad Pro (1)

    • 11-inch 256GB 2nd generation iPad Pro (1)

    • 12.9-inch 128GB 6th generation iPad Pro (3)

Seated-height mic stands for iPads

  • Five (5) seated-height AirTurn mic stands

  • No boom attachments included

Universal tablet mic stand mounts

  • Three (3) universal tablet stand mounts are available for loan
  • Can be attached to a mic stan
  • Adjustable to securely hold most mobile phones and tablets

Wireless turning pedals

Wireless page-turning pedals

  • Six (6) AirTurn wireless page turning pedals are available for loan:

  • All wireless pedals connect to devices via Bluetooth

Projectors

Available to current McGill borrowers:

Pico projectors (3) (P700 user manual | P7 user manual)

  • Models available: AAXA P700 HD (2), AAXA P7 (1)

  • Includes VGA and composite A/V cables. HDMI connection also possible

Pico projector screens (2)

  • Small in size. Recommended for home viewing

Projector adapters and video connector cables

  • Various projector adapters can be loaned upon request

Epson Home Cinema 1080 projectors (2) (user manual)

  • No cables included

Epson PowerLite 1751 projector (1) (user manual)

  • Includes VGA cable. HDMI connection also possible.

NEC VT670 multimedia projector (1) (user manual)

  • Restricted for use in the Strathcona and Elizabeth Wirth Music Music Buildings

  • Includes VGA cable

  • Large and quite heavy

Other

VHS digitization kit

  • One (1) VHS digitization kit is available for loan

  • Take note! These items come as a set and cannot be loaned separately

  • Contains:

    • Elgato Systems USB Analog Video Capture Device (user manual)

      • Transfer video to your Mac or PC from a VCR, DVR, camcorder, or any other analogue video device as a high quality H.264 file

      • Elgato Video Capture can connect and capture video to your Mac or PC from any device that has composite “RCA” or S-Video outputs

      • Requires OS X 10.6.8 or later, or, Windows 7 or later

    • AV Toolbox AVT-8710 Multi-Standard Time Base Corrector (user manual)

      • Eliminates picture jitter and time base errors from videotape playback

      • Ensures a stable on-screen image through the use of dual-field full-frame reconstruction

      • Accommodates most NTSC, PAL and SECAM video signal standards

      • Allows the adjustment of brightness, contrast, colour saturation, hue and sharpness

    • S-Video cables needed to connect the VCR the time base corrector and Elgato capture tool

    • Component RCA cable needed to connect the VCR to the Elgato capture tool

USB 3.0 hubs 

  • Four (4) individual hubs

  • Each hub contains 4 USB ports

  • These hubs simply add USB port capacity, they do not have USB-C ports

  • To use with a USB-C port, request a USB-C to USB adapter too
