Mathematics and Statistics

Find articles, books, and learning opportunities in mathematics and statistics

Welcome to the mathematics and statistics guide

Orientation for the 2025/2026 academic year:

This guide is a good place to start if you are new to using library services, or if you have a project or paper to complete. If you are here exploring resources in mathematics and statistics, be sure to check out the learn online and the textbooks section to find free courses and open textbooks that may be of interest.

If you can't find the full text of an article, you can use our Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL). ILL can also be used if a book that you want is not in the McGill Libraries collection, or the collection of another Quebec university library. The ILL system is integrated into the Libraries' catalogue/Sofia Discovery tool. You can also suggest a purchase. We may be able to obtain a copy for the Library.
