US-based professional association that hosts conferences and publishes journals and book. McGill Library has access to IEEE Xplore, a collection of books, journals, conference proceedings, standards, and courses from IEEE.
- International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
Global non-for-profit organization that prepares and publishes international standards for the whole energy chain, including electrical and electronic related technologies, devices and systems. IEC periodically publishes recommendations (called White Papers) on technological trends and market needs in the IEC's field of activities.

England-based global professional engineering institution. McGill Library has access to INSPEC and IET Digital Library from IET.
- Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
Large professional society that serves computing professionals, researchers, and educators. The Library has access to the ACM Digital Library which provides research materials related to all aspects of computing.
- Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE)
International professional association of engineers working in the moving-imagery technology field, creating technical standards and guidelines for television production, filmmaking, digital cinema, audio recordings, and medical imaging.
