This guide aims to provide resources for inclusive and non-biased writing in English. Resources for this guide have been gathered and organized by the Humanities and Social Sciences Library's Outreach Team. In this guide, you will find links to trade association guides, cultural or popular websites, and scholarly articles and books. This guide is a continued effort to promote themes of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion aligned with McGill University's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and the Library's effort to publish more EDI content.
This guide is not meant to be a prescriptive tool for inclusive writing, rather it provides users with the chance to discover resources that can help challenge and improve biased writing in many forms.

This is not an all-encompassing guide to Inclusive Writing, but rather a list of resources to help start users on a journey toward unbiased writing. We invite you to contact us with any comments or constructive suggestions.
