The use of McGill Library's professional business databases is limited to academic purposes. These databases are not to be used on behalf of external organizations or for commercial reasons.

Students completing internships may not access resources and reports on behalf of their employers.

Welcome to the Company Research guide. It is typically easier to find information on public companies as they are required to make available corporate reports, financial reports, and other information. Private companies have no such obligation, so information is harder to find.

ABI/INFORM Collection (ProQuest)
Comprehensive database of articles from key trade publications, scholarly journals, conference proceedings, market reports, etc.
Business Source Complete (EBSCO)
Contains articles from scholarly and trade journals, working papers, market reports and industry reports.
Web of Science Core Collection (All Indexes)
Multidisciplinary article databases, for research articles on companies or their products.

Includes Citation Indexes: Science Citation Index Expanded (1900-present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1900-present), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975-present), Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science (1990-present), Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science & Humanities (1990-present), Book Citation Index– Science (2005-present), Book Citation Index– Social Sciences & Humanities (2005-present), Emerging Sources Citation Index (2005-present). Chemical Indexes include: Current Chemical Reactions (1985-present, plus Institut National de la Propriete Industrielle structure data back to 1840), and Index Chemicus (1993-present).

Canadian Corporate Reports
Canadian Corporate Reports Project comprises historical annual reports from major Canadian corporations. The collection, which traces many companies back to the 19th Century, consists of annual reports of approximately 2,000 Canadian corporations in all business sectors.

The database features thousands of analyst reports covering over 3,000 global companies and all industries. Derived from Morgan Markets - J.P. Morgan's exclusive information for key clients and investors - these reports are made available to academic users for education and research purposes.

Annual reports (1844-2008) available for over 800 companies, 43,000 reports, 1.3M pages. Searchable puff images with indexed data such as: financial, Fortune 500 ranking, industry classification, key people, geographic location, auditor and related companies.
