- Musawah is a movement based in Malaysia advocating for "equality and justice in the Muslim Family."
- Muslim Women's League (MWLUSA) is a not for profit U.S. organization advocating for Muslim Women's rights.
- Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) "is the oldest political/social organization of Afghan women struggling for peace, freedom, democracy and women's rights in fundamentalism-blighted Afghanistan since 1977."
- Sisters in Islam is "a non-governmental organization working towards advancing the rights of Muslim women in Malaysia."
- The Women and Memory Forum "was founded in 1995 by a group of women academics, researchers and activists concerned about the negative representations and perceptions of Arab women in the cultural sphere."
