Resources for Nursing

On this guide you will find information about McGill Library resources and services for nursing students, faculty and researchers. You will also find subject guides on topics that may interest you, such as evidence-based practice. This guide is currently being updated so visit again to see what's new!

You can also contact me directly. As your liaison librarian I can:

  • Introduce you to the McGill Library, its services and resources.
  • Support your teaching, learning, or research activities, including (but not limited to):
    • Evidence-based practice
    • Consumer health, patient education & health literacy
    • Knowledge synthesis
  • Advise you on the best sources of information for your term paper, research, or grant proposal.
  • Ensure the nursing collection (print & electronic) best suits your needs. Suggestions for new book acquisitions are welcome. Journal suggestions (print & electronic) should be sent directly to me.
  • Offer training or workshops in the latest research, resources and information access skills.
  • Ensure that required course readings are available in the Library. Course readings also can be linked to online full text when available. Faculty can email to me a copy of the reading list in Word (.docx) format. The file will be linked and returned to you for uploading to myCourses.
  • Inform faculty & students of McGill resources, workshops & events (EndNote workshops, predatory publishing, data management, writing, developing course material etc.)
