To find information on your topic, you can: check for background information in reference works, e.g. subject-specific encyclopedias; search the library catalogue for books; do a targeted search for articles using research databases; and consult subject-specific websites.  To organize your references, you can use EndNote citation management software.  These are discussed at each of the links below.
