3D Modeling

The library does not provide support for 3D modelling. However, this page has some useful information to help you get started.

3D Modeling Software

The following CAD (computer-aided design) software is all available for free. Check them out to get started creating your own 3D models or modifying existing ones:

  • Tinkercad - A simple web-based 3D modeling platform
  • SketchUp - Another simple CAD modelling software
  • Blender - Used more for animation but exports to 3D printable formats too
  • AutoCAD - Used a lot in architecture specifically, students can get a free Autodesk account
  • OnShape - Good free online CAD software, for more advanced users
