DaVinci Resolve is a video editing software offered by Blackmagic Design. This software handles various facets of video post-production such as editing, colour correction, visual effects, motion graphics, audio editing, and delivery. There are two versions of the DaVinci Resolve software: a robust free version with some limitations and a full, studio version.
DaVinci Resolve is used in video production courses offered by the Schulich School of Music, and is available on selected computers and circulating laptops at the Marvin Duchow Music Library.
Final Cut Pro is a video editing software for MacOS offered by Apple. It is also available for iPad. This software handles various facets of video post-production such as editing, audio editing, motion graphics, effects, colour correction, and delivery. Apple offers a 90-day free trial of Final Cut Pro for first time users.
