The Mishnah

  • Beit Yosef. Bet Yosef is a compendium of material and sources for the laws that were applicable after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem (in the year 70 C.E.). Sefaria open source texts online with commentaries and connections. Hebrew.
  • The code of Maimonides, Moses Maimonides 1135-1204. "Maimonides' monumental 14-volume code on Jewish law.
  • Kitzur shulchan aruch = [Ḳitsur Shulḥan ʻarukh] : the code of Jewish law, translated and elucidated, including rulings of the Mishnah berurah and Igros Moshe.
  • Midrash, Mishnah and Gemara: the Jewish Predilection for Justified Law by Daṿid Halivni. An analysis of classical rabbinic texts that illuminates the nature of Midrash, Mishnah, and Gemara, and highlights a fundamental characteristic of Jewish law.
  • Mishnah. Sefaria open source texts online with commentaries and connections. Hebrew 
  • A Restatement of Rabbinic Civil Law by Emanuel Quint. This multivolume work, although not a direct translation of the Shulchan Aruch, restates the civil laws enumerated Shulchan Aruch, part Hoshen Mishpat, following its exact chapter divisions.
