Open textbooks - finding and using

This guide provides resources for finding open textbooks as well as information on how to adapt them to coursework.

McGill Library eBook subscriptions

The Library has access to millions of electronic ebooks that are free for students to view (and in some cases, download). 

To locate eBooks, search in the 

 


Your search will cover McGill's entire collection of resources: books, journals, articles, and other resources, in both print or electronic format.

In McGill's catalogue, select from the facets "book" and then limit to "ebooks"

Note: Number of simultaneous users will vary. Also, ability to print and download will vary by publisher.

Find your liaison librarian to get more information about a particular eBook.

McGill Library also subscribes to thousands of journals and articles.

The Library provides services to scan and upload select readings to MyCourses.
