McGill Library holds a significant collection of maps, atlases, air photos, satellite imagery, and data covering the greater Montreal region, the province of Quebec, Canada, and the rest of the world. This guide provides information about the location of each collection as well as details about how materials can be accessed or requested.

The Lab is open and available to users working with data who require the use of specialized data software.

The United States Federal Government open data site

Enables non-technical users to create thematic maps and reports comparing demographic information across geographic regions. GIS users can export data and corresponding shapefiles and use them in ArcGIS. Click "Create Account" top create a login. Limit of 5 concurrent users: if you cannot log in, try again later. To access without saving work click on "Sign in as a guest".
