Morningstar

Morningstar is a leading investment analysis tool, providing international financial and statistical data including fund information. You can learn more from the Morningstar website.

You can use Morningstar to simulate the creation and management of portfolios. Morningstar also includes a feature called Presentation Studio that help prepare professional visualizations, fact sheets, and presentation.

How to access Morningstar

The Morningstar software is available on one workstation in the Humanities & Social Sciences Library, McLennan, 3rd floor (Room M3-53B).

Once you have logged on to the workstation and launched the Morningstar application, you will need a separate password to access Morningstar. This password may have been provided to you by your professor. If you don’t have this password, contact your professor or email the Liaison Librarian for Management and Business using your McGill email account.

How to use Morningstar

Morningstar provides online help in the form of recorded webinars, user guides and fact sheets. You can access these by logging into Morningstar and clicking on the Learning Centre. Alternatively, you can refer to the Morningstar Direct Resources on the right from any computer.
