The Science of Star Trek

The Science of Star Trek

Sometimes concepts in science fiction can help inspire new ideas in science and technology. Star Trek (The Original Series) first aired in September 1966. 50 years later, we are still grappling with many of the ideas presented in this groundbreaking series. This exhibit explores the science and technology from the enduring Star Trek series. Although we haven't yet attained the level of technological advances presented in Star Trek, we still have 2 more centuries to make Star Trek science fiction into science fact!

On now at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering, Macdonald-Stewart Library Building, 809 Sherbrooke Street West
